● USA Cricket thanks and praises all involved with the Men’s Under 17 & U23 National Championships as West Zone crowned champions of both tournaments.
● Close to 7,500 runs scored and nearly 400 wickets taken across 24 completed matches at the Prairie View Cricket Complex in Texas.

USA Cricket has hailed hugely successful Men’s Under 17 & U23 National Championships which concluded Sunday with West Zone being crowned as National Champions of both tournaments. After 24 matches between the 12 teams that involved 168 young cricketers from across America.

This was the first time USA Cricket have hosted either of these age-groups, and the first time two National Championships have been held in parallel at the same venue. Both tournaments were completed successfully thanks to the herculean efforts of Tournament Directors Dhruv Barot and Anand Patel, local coordinator Usman Rafiq, and USA Cricket Development Manager Jamie Lloyd. The team of match officials, led by Danny Khan and Pravin David, ensured the action on the field was conducted to the highest standards, whilst team Managers, Coaches and parents were all instrumental in helping create the right environment for the players to express themselves on the field. USA Cricket wishes to extend its thanks to the local Houston cricket community and the Prairie View Cricket Complex staff for hosting the event.

Across the 4 days there were close to 7,500 runs scored, a little under 400 wickets taken and over 200 catches held in tournaments that were keenly contested by all 12 teams. The turf-wickets and facilities on offer at the Prairie View Cricket Complex enhanced the tournament and helped to provide a fantastic experience that is sure to help the development of these young cricketers.

U17 Most Wickets of the Tournament – Prana Bhattad (SWZ) 10 wickets
U17 Most Runs of the Tournament – Parth Patel (MWZ) 299 runs
U17 Most Valuable Player – Parth Patel (MWZ)
